Welcome to Conferena, an event management platform owned and operated by Brainverse Technologies. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of
Conferena’s websites (conferena.com, go.conferena.com), mobile applications, and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to Conferena’s websites, apps, and event management tools.
  • “Organizer” means an individual or entity hosting, creating, or managing events on Conferena.
  • “Attendee” means any user registering for, purchasing tickets to, or attending an event.
  • “User” means any person accessing the Platform, including Organizers and Attendees.

2. Eligibility

To use Conferena, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conferena reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

3. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

  • Use Conferena only for lawful purposes.
  • Refrain from uploading harmful, illegal, or infringing content.
  • Not disrupt the platform’s functionality or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their event details, pricing, and compliance with health, safety, and venue regulations.

4. Payments and Fees

Ticket prices are set by the Organizer.

  • Conferena may charge service fees or commissions, which will be disclosed during the transaction.
  • Payments are processed via secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., M-Pesa, credit cards).
  • Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Organizer’s policies. Conferena is not liable for disputes between Attendees and Organizers but will provide reasonable support to resolve issues.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on the Platform are owned by Conferena or its licensors. Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

Conferena is a facilitator and not the producer of events. We are not liable for:

  • Cancellations, rescheduling, or quality of events.
  • Losses or damages resulting from event attendance or non-attendance.
  • Technical errors, payment failures, or unauthorized access caused by third parties.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conferena disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Termination

Conferena may suspend or terminate your account at its discretion for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform immediately ceases.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.

9. Changes to Terms

Conferena reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or posted on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
